Go Get it Season

Life has a way of snatching things from us. Some possessions we can regain, but people and opportunities are usually an once in a lifetime occurrence. When life starts the subtraction process it takes us a good bit of time to understand what is transpiring.  Even at the time of recognizing that life is different, life has not stopped. Seasons are important for re-evaluation, adjustment, shedding, and growth. Growing up in the North I had the pleasure of experiencing the season changing. Seeing how leaves change colors. How the ground can be covered with snow. All the while it is the same space that occupies the stormy rain season. We need the different experiences in our life to learn how to appreciate. The Bible tells us to learn how to live in abundance and how to live in not enough.

Philippians 4:12 KJV
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Well living in the not enough and subtraction season does not last. Cannot last. Why would it be rewarding to choose life with Christ if suffering and being unbearably miserable as our spirits were without Him? It wouldn't be. To be in Christ is to have life everlasting, peace, joy, and having goodness and mercy on your tracks. There are moments when with the rewards we have in Christ some uncomfortable events will occur, those are just seasons. When those seasons arrive don't complain. Complaining expresses to God that you are ungrateful and frankly don't trust His process. He sees and He knows all. There are strengths, ministry, unions, and businesses that erect out of the uncomfortable events that happen in life. Learn how to extract what God is saying and move on.

You can't be good to others if you're unkind to yourself. Often we think we should exhaust ourselves in effort to prove to people we are godly. If we truly are than it would take less effort. It does not always require for you to give your last, be the only volunteer, not have what you need when you need it. No, that is foolishness. Others have similar opportunities to accomplish such as you, so don't use all of you while they are reserving all of them.

The Move! It is absolutely appropriate to be selfish in the go get it season. It is impossible to put you last at this moment. Without the stabilization of you pouring into you. Loving on you. Pampering and treating you. Being good to you. Why not? You certainly deserve to, you overcame the storm and the changes of life and have arrive to the place of restoration.
